JOËL Cintrón

Writer/Director

is a half-Puerto Rican, half-Colombian photographer, filmmaker, and writer. In 2023, he was selected for the Artist of Color Accelerator Program, where he collaborated with TheaterWorks Hartford to create his own contemporary Puerto Rican Art exhibition, Siempre Pa’lante. Joel has also served as the Master Teaching Artist/Curator for the SNAP! Photography Teen Residency for the past three summers. Across his creative and educational work, JOËL is committed to creating meaningful opportunities for artists, elevating underrepresented stories, and demonstrating the power of authentic storytelling through film and visual art. In September 2026, his work will be exhibited in a Puerto Rican Art exhibition, Batey Boricua, presented at the nationally recognized Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art in Hartford.

Mimi Gonzalez

Producer

is a creator, producer, and creator economy strategist whose work lives at the intersection of storytelling, culture, and community. She is the founder of Creator House, a Connecticut-based initiative supporting creators through education, partnerships, and advocacy, and the creator behind Griefsense, a platform exploring grief, purpose, and living life by design. Her work spans film, digital media, and live experiences, where she has produced films, television pilots, music videos, branded campaigns, major community events, and fundraising initiatives that bring creative visions to life. She believes every production is an archive of a people, a place, and a moment that will never exist again.

Enrique Lebron

Director of Photography

is an Emmy-nominated cinematographer, award-winning director, and writer based in Hartford, Connecticut. An Afro-Latino of Puerto Rican descent, he is passionate about telling authentic stories that explore family, identity, resilience, and the human experience. Whether working in documentary or narrative film, Enrique believes storytelling has the power to connect people, inspire conversation, and leave a lasting impression.

Jamil Ahmed

First Assistant Camera

is a half-Puerto Rican, Connecticut-based videographer with over 10 years of experience behind the camera and in the editing bay. His work spans commercial, documentary, branded, live-event, and narrative production for municipalities, businesses, nonprofits, sports organizations, and independent creatives throughout Connecticut and Greater New England. With his background in cinematography and visual storytelling, Jamil approaches every production with an emphasis on intentional images that serve the story and emotion of the piece. As the camera operator on this short film, he brings both technical experience and a filmmaker’s eye to translating the director’s vision to screen.

Jose Arroyo

Graphic Designer & Merchandise

(a.k.a. Local Goods) is a pseudonymous artist and designer born in the Nation of Boriken (Taino name for the island of Puerto Rico). As a second-generation graffiti writer they seek nontraditional ways of expressing their artistic messages. 

After a global pandemic in 2020 forced them to end a successful career owning and operating a print shop, they chose to pursue a career path in art. Their creative approach blends graffiti, street art, guerrilla marketing, printmaking, graphic design, and interactive installations to create pieces that subvert an observer's notions of art.
