SYNOPSIS
CAPICÚ is a thrilling, short film exploring the themes of family, survival, and karma, set during a fall night in Hartford, CT.
The story follows two Puerto Rican brothers, Angel and Manny, who attempt to settle a crippling debt left behind by their late grandfather by confronting local mob boss César.
When they cannot pay the full amount, Manny proposes a high-stakes domino game rooted in the lessons of strategy, partnership, and survival taught to them by their grandfather.

Director’s Vision
When you think about it… There are not many Puerto Rican-centric stories in TV and Film. We’re often cast in supporting roles or as other Latinx ethnicities, but how many prominent Puerto Rican movies can you name?
As Puerto Rico becomes better known through reggaeton, specifically Bad Bunny, this film will give audiences more context for Puerto Ricans' everyday lives, culture, and struggles in the United States.
This film and the stories that come after it will serve as an authentic representation of the Boricua way of life and the generations who sacrificed for our survival.
